Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage

Another Murakami novel about a man who is loved and appreciated, despite having no self awareness. I didn't appreciate the wild-eyed desperation towards the end, but definitely one of his novels with a more explicit "yearning" focus. A man approached me on the subway to say that he loved Murakami and specifically this novel.
