By accessing or using Sprawl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Sprawl is a book collection tracking and social reading platform that allows users to catalog their personal book collections using image recognition, track reading progress, share reviews, connect with other readers, lend and borrow books, and participate in book clubs. The Service is available through web browsers and mobile applications.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Be at least 13 years of age

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including book reviews, posts, comments, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Sprawl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to submit it. We do not endorse any User Content and reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post spam, malware, or malicious content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Scrape or collect data without permission
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Post content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Share explicit, violent, or illegal content

6. Book Data and Third-Party Services

The Service may retrieve book information from third-party sources such as ISBN databases and cover image providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this data. Book cover images and metadata may be subject to third-party copyrights and are used for identification purposes only.

7. Book Loans Between Users

The Service facilitates tracking of book loans between users. Sprawl is not responsible for the physical condition, return, or loss of any books loaned through the platform. All loan arrangements are solely between the users involved, and we encourage users to establish clear terms for any book loans.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Sprawl and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPRAWL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sprawl and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised terms on the Service. Material changes will be notified through the Service or via email. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination
